So today we're building a gaming PC and the best part is that it's not gonna cost you an arm and alike in fact the parts list for this PC came to around seven hundred dollars with mail and rebates which is pretty sweet coming to think of it we haven't done a sub one thousand dollar gaming PC build in a really long time.
So here it is now before I jump into the parts list I do want to mention something very important this is a PC gaming and I want to emphasize gaming because that's ultimately what we're going for it's not necessarily something that's geared for streaming or content creation in fact if you're looking for something that can do all of that you might have to spend a few extra hundred dollars on top of that to achieve something that is what am i doing I don't even know what I'm doing everything something that can do every day also please note that these were the prices when we bought the components so they may change over time this best gaming pc is built around Intel's be 365 platform and I'm sure most of you might have not heard of that but it exists it actually does exist and before you guys start raging in the comments hear me out for a second first of all this video is not sponsored by Intel and secondly we feel like this is the best bang for the buck gaming PC that you can get given the budget that we're working with and there are some downsides going with this platform and I'll definitely talk about a little bit later in the video.
I'll walk you through some suggestions and alternatives if you absolutely desperately need Rison in your life because I know some people are gonna get hurt for for not going with horizon V PC I mean I understand you I feel you and and I'm gonna I'm gonna give you options so sit tight and let's go over what we have right after this the Neo cases by metal gear come in three variations neo silent neo air and neon G to satisfy your build and visual preference with the good IO excellent internal layout and RGB fans included on Neo G and air models check the description to see which neo is best for you okay so the CP of choice is the core i5 9400 F it's a six core processor without hyper threading and it doesn't have a GP which isn't the goal for this build because it's strictly a gaming pc build and that's where a discrete GPU comes into play its price $145 and for the same cost if you're looking for something from AMD that would be the horizon 530 400 G which features for course and a threads and comes with built-in radio and rx graphics another alternative is the Rison 5 2600 which is a six core 12 third processor and you can pick it up for less than $120 it seems like a better option if you're looking for streaming and all kinds of stuff but do keep in mind that it isn't the latest and greatest offering from AMD and if you were to look from a raw FB a standpoint Intel still takes the edge here you can also go with the rise in 536 hundred but do keep in mind that's gonna add an extra hundred dollars on top of this given budget but the good thing about going with mizen is that you can also overclock that processor to squeeze just a little bit more performance whereas with Intel it's locked which means you really can tinker around with the settings which is unfortunate but here's what we're working with given the budget ask for the motherboard I chose the as rock beat through 65 m phantom gaming for it's a micro ATX board featuring 2/m 2/m eme slots one of them featuring a heatsink and for $85 this is a really good-looking motherboard it doesn't need overclocking capabilities like z3 90 since the i5 processor that we're using is locked out of the box and it serves our purpose pretty well now here are the downsides of going with a be 365 motherboard the first one is pretty obvious it's upgradability because if you plan on dropping in something like a 9700 K or 9900 K you really won't be able to get the best performance out of them because first of all you can't overclock them secondly you also lose on IO expansions with this platform and this chipset in the first place whereas with Rison you can kind of make your way up to a higher end riser processor and still be able to overclock that processor so for instance you can quote with a be 450 motherboard and then perhaps later on upgrade to something like a 2700 X or potentially even drop in a 3700 X if you feel like it and overclock that as well so the upgrade ability options are certainly a lot more open on the A&E; side versus Intel to cool the CPU we decided to use the stock cooler that comes with the processor just to keep the price under $700 after rebates but if you're comfortable spending a few extra bucks I would highly recommend picking up the hyper 212 Evo from Coolermaster black edition it doesn't come with any RGB nonsense it's a lot more quieter than the stock one and it gives you better temperatures as well but that is another option if you're looking into something that's not too ugly for memory we went with 16 gigabytes of Corsair Vengeance lpx modules clocked at 26 66 megahertz this is a dual shell kit and it's priced at 63 dollars which is something that we will defined to fit the budget this next bit is the most exciting part in fact I haven't been this excited about using a store solution because this my friends is the silicon power 880 and me me SSD it's 512 gigabytes in capacity and it really costs $60 that is just crazy I mean $60 for 512 gigabytes is absolute madness I mean it's a steal I can't wait to test the performance of this guy but it also makes me realize how high-capacity access deeds aren't getting cheap and this is this is a perfect perfect fit for the build I mean there's just nothing more that I can add on top of this because it's just it's crazy now the most important part of this build is the graphics card and for that we decided to go with EB G's GTX 1660s see because it's priced at $240 but you can pick it up right now for $220 with some rebates but also you're not paying the RTX tax and for 1080p gaming this is a perfect fit in my opinion powering this entire build is the corsair CX 450 M it is a semi modular PSU and it should be plenty enough to power the entire hardware and finally the case of choice is the Pentek speed 300 it's priced less than $65 and for that it looks really good not to mention the red interior does give it a bit of a premium look and you also get tempered glass so if you want to showcase the components inside the PC this is a great option so the parts list out of the way let's put together this build [Music] [Music] [Music] so this is the final build guys and to be honest with you I'm not happy with the way how it looks let's get the first thing out of the way and that is the stock cooler it is an eyesore to look at especially through that tempered glass panel it just doesn't fit because you've got those cables going into the front panel or the fan header I mean it just doesn't feel or it doesn't look right something just doesn't feel in sync with this cami PC and this can easily addressed with an aftermarket cooling solution so if you plan on picking it up be hyper 212 black edition that should be a perfect fit for this build the next thing that bothered me the most East case because it only comes with a single 120 millimeter exhaust fan at the back so currently there are no front intake fans which it's not an ideal airflow solution but I ran my temperature test and a CPU and GPU ran but I would highly recommend picking a few extra fans intake fans for the front so that you have that airflow movement going through the hardware but yeah that is that's one of the downsides with this case I mean I really wish the fan tax included just next your fan for the front that being said negative pressure inside this case could be one of those factors that led to lower CPU and GPU temperatures so I guess the last thing to go over is how does it game well you can comfortably push heavy-duty triple-a titles at 1080p to the highest settings way above 60 frames per second the includes battlefield 1 overwatch apex legends Far Cry 5 and shadow of the Tomb Raider oh and I also added a benchmarking the AAT nvme SSD and as you can see it's it's crazy fast guys this is this is mind-blowing the power color Rx 5700 xt red devil is a special kind of graphics card with a fantastic cooler two modes available for the user 10 phase vrm designed to improve stability and OC headroom and fiery RGB illumination to satisfy check it out below now you might notice that I did not include synthetic benchmarks as well as real-world rendering performance results and that's because as I mentioned earlier this is a gaming PC but what I am planning on doing very soon is comparing it dollar versus dollar Intel versus AMD build very soon so I'll take this build and compared to the Rison 5 2600 with the same graphics card and then see what the performance is like compare them head-to-head so definitely stay tuned for that video but until then let me know what you guys think about this seventeen dollar gaming PC I know a lot of people might have thoughts you could start waging if you want in the comments but I'm more excited to test this system with what amy has to offer for the same dollar
